UK Rights
The Caldwell Agency manages UK rights directly, reflecting the close interconnection between the UK and U.S. publishing landscapes. When it supports a project’s strategy, we pitch UK editors either simultaneously with U.S. submissions or on a timeline tailored to the book’s needs and the author’s goals.
We maintain strong relationships with editors across major UK houses and independent publishers, as well as with international scouts. Whether our clients are based in the U.S., the UK, or elsewhere in the world, we evaluate when a direct UK submission is the strongest path forward. For UK-based authors, we often coordinate simultaneous U.S./UK submissions and can lead with the UK when it best supports the author’s local visibility and long-term career strategy. In those cases, we also handle direct U.S. submissions to ensure a cohesive, aligned publishing plan across both markets.
As with all aspects of our rights work, our UK representation is grounded in transparency, long-term strategy, and close communication with our clients. Patrice Caldwell leads all UK rights negotiations.

Audio Rights
The Caldwell Agency manages audio rights directly, with Arthur Young III leading all audio negotiations. We maintain strong relationships with major audio publishers, production partners, and independent studios, and tailor each submission to the book’s needs and the author’s long-term goals.
We evaluate the audio potential of every project individually and pitch audio rights either simultaneously with print and ebook submission or on a timeline shaped in close collaboration with our clients. Our approach emphasizes author control and transparency: we prioritize approval over key creative decisions, including narrator casting, and ensure our clients understand the full scope of each audio opportunity.
For hybrid and independently published authors, we frequently negotiate audio rights directly while the author retains control of print and ebook formats. In these cases, we coordinate audio submissions to maximize reach, flexibility, and creative input.
