H. J. Phillips is a 21-year-old author born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. After studying classical voice for two years at the University of Houston, she saw an image that sparked the idea for her debut novel.
One illustration of a girl with massive wings covered in black feathers and she decided to give up her scholarship in music and change her major to creative writing. Just a few months later the first draft of her dark academic fantasy, where angels have to fight to the death to gain their wings, was finished.
When she’s not writing her dark fantasy novel, THE GODFORSAKEN, she can be found obsessing over new romantasy books, creating an endless amount of Pinterest boards for new projects, and listening to true crime podcasts.
