Patrice Caldwell

Patrice Caldwell is the Founder & CEO of The Caldwell Agency, which she launched in 2025. A Queer and Black woman–owned agency, The Caldwell Agency is built on the belief that partnership, transparency, and strategy go hand in hand with passion to create lasting, fulfilling careers for its clients.

A former children’s book editor turned literary agent and author, Patrice was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She has been named one of Forbes’s “30 Under 30” as well as a Publishers Weekly Star Watch honoree. Patrice is the internationally bestselling author of Where Shadows Meet and the editor of the anthologies A Phoenix First Must Burn and Eternally Yours.

After years of living in New York City, she returned home to the DFW area of Texas, where she now lives with her three cats and so many books.
