What Sarah’s looking for…

Sarah is currently closed to queries, but when the time comes she’d love to see:

  • In general: smaller-scale stakes (think “I need to save my house” versus “I need to save the world”). Characters with interesting jobs. Characters with cash flow problems. Memorable sidekicks. Genre blending—give me a horror romance, zombie fantasy, dystopian with magic, etc. And my #1 wishlist item: a sense of humor!
  • Fantasy & Romantasy: Nuanced but accessible worldbuilding. Cozy vibes with an edge of darkness. Sweeping love stories that feel fated. Angst and pining. Queer and poly stories.
  • Romantasy that reflects the messy reality of love and sex, where spicy scenes serve to develop characters and advance plots.
  • Horror & Dystopian: Historical settings; creature features, fresh spins on zombies; campy, self-aware horror, puzzle elements; dystopian stories with a glimmer of hope.
